Inspired by Georges Bataille's "The Story Of The Eye"
They were nearly motionless, and tense, and their eyes gaped with unrestrained joy. But soon, some invisible monstrosity appeared to be pulling Marseille away from the bars, though her left hand clutched them with all her might. We saw her tumble back into her delirium. And all that remained before us was an empty, glowing window, a rectangular hole piercing the opaque night, showing our aching eyes a world composed of lightning and dawn.

It's a pretty Zen lesson in expectation when I listen to this, teaching me a thing or two about the pitfalls of hanging onto anything other than gradual enlightenment and a zero-sum world. Haunting like a forest. Magical in it's beauty. Old Man Doom

After a recent breakup this album was a wise purchase. It let me shed my tears and realize that while it hurts, it's all going to be okay, but oh god do I miss her. Logan (???)
